Got time to do a little work on the car today so i made a start with relocating to battery to the bood to make way for the turbo to sit.

Then i pulled the front end off to find the reason my fan wasnt working was because the previous owner looks to have tried to remove the fan to paint and snapped the bolt holding it to the fan motor! i also removed the crappy front splitter and replaced it with an astra one. Next was to see where my intercooler and oil cooler ws going to fit in, i managed to get holes drilled for the fmic mounts but need to find some longer bolts what i ill hopefully be able to pick up from work tomorrow.
Could do with a battery box lid but not sure weather they come on the 206 or not?

Rods, no chance. Pistons I highly doubt it.

But try it, you might know someone who can do that for you

How do you know what compression 2 gaskets and a plate will give you?
I'd just turbo the standard engine at first and run low boost just to get it running.

That is my plan edward but I want a spare engine just incase anything happens but also plan to build a 3rd engine over time when I get a bit more money behind me so I can run half decent power. I have a mate I sometimes go up knockhill with who is building a 400bhp+ 306 gti6 engine but he is minted so has money to throw at his lol. I am only looking to run around 7-10psi max for the time being.
Fi dropped the turbo off today to have the manifold and downpipe flanges made then I will get the manifold made up towards the end of the week. Also hoping to get my intercooler and other little bits fitted this week so there out the way for when it comes to fitting the rest as I cant really have the car off the road too long due to work.

Well I have just gone and bought an 8v turbo engine. 67k miles so I am going to service the engine and fit all my parts to that instead. I will be happy with 220bhp. Maybe keep hold of the 16v engine and build that up next year.

No need for the gti 180 manifold on the 8v engine, i can just make up a pipe to bolt to the standard turbo manifold what will bring my turbo rount to be above the gearbox. i might still build the 16v engine as there is only so much you can do with the 8v engines and at least i can do a proper job with the 16v engine having it out the car.

220?! So I may well be on par with a mear 1.4 8 valve. Stop faffing about and hit over 300 to at least make it worth it!

Am not bothered about having mental power. Cars going to be an everyday car no no point going daft and spending a fortune. As said I will have the 16v engine out of the car so makes things easier to work on and build a decent spec. Trying to get a new job, thats the reason for working at a budget for the minute
