The problem began today. While driving (with our without the A/C) the car will hesitate at the beginning of each shift specially the 1st and 2nd shifts. The problem was slight but has been increased after I done the service which included: spark plugs replacement, fuel filter replacement, oil filer & oil change, and crank shaft change.

Any idea what this problem could be?

Its annoying me too much and I'm travelling by car after tomorrow, so all advised will be highly appreciated.

Why did you change the crankshaft? Or just the pulley?

It was replaced several months ago with a used one, so I replaced it with a new one.

Which component - complete crankshaft (full engine strip for that), just front pulley or crank position sensor?

I think the biggest probability here is that you have either:-
Dislodged an air intake hose and have an air leak.
Dislodged a wiring connection on a sensor.
Moved an intake air hose causing a split that is slowly getting worse.

Though you may have fitted a new component that is defective - it wouldn't be the first time this has happened. You can test that by one at a time, refit the old components - assuming you still have them.

I have re checked all possible causes at my friend's garage today. We checked and tried to replace the following components hopefully it gets sorted:
Fuel pump
Fuel Filter
Spark plugs
Ignition coil
Air manifold pressure sensor
Crank sensor
Air filter
Air hoses

Still we can't get it sorted. Could it be the ECU? It is the last thing that we have not checked yet.

I have this problem on my 206. I have a dead spot I think, mainly when I pull away, and it's just about noticeable as I change to 2nd.

Taken it to a mechanics endless times and they can't find a fix for it. Everything shows up as fine.

Saw something when I googled it a while ago, about it possibly being something to do with the carburetor ... something like that anyway. Probably chatting b*****s there though ....

The 206 has fuel injection, therefore no carb, so yes, it's b******s.

IF it's an 8 valve engine (TU1 or TU3) it will most likely be valve tappet clearance adjustment.

Has it ever been adjusted? How many miles on the clock?

It also makes sense if you went anywhere near the crankshaft because the timing slightly get's affected with respect to the camshaft and the piston positions.

OR you could have 'pinched' the crankshaft, but that is not very likely in my experience for the symptom you describe.
Valves on the other hand cause exactly this symptom and it's absolutely worth checking them (0.20mm intake / 0.40mm exhaust +/-0.05mm!).

Let us know how you get on.

Car dies at the beginning of each shift when pushing the accelerator pedal. The symptom last for few seconds and disappear. The problem only appear at low RPMs.

I don't think that its a vale adjusting issue.

I'm checking the TPS & the ECU! Hopefully it is not the ECU this time!

TPS Sensor / map / even a stepper motor can somtimes cause it. Just had same problem with a 206 i fixed other week.

Never thought it can be the stepper motor or IACV as it will cause an erratic in idling which I don't have.

Stepper motors also can cause a cut-out.
