Hi guys,

After the wealth of info i managed to find on here regarding my rad fan problem, i changed the relay and works perfect! Thanks.

New problem seems to be the clutch. I've had a search but no managed to find anything specific to my symptoms. I've got a V reg 1.9 diesel, and it's just started juddering very badly through the clutch pedal. At the minute it is still going in to gear ok, but when pulling away it feels like something is going to shake loose! It does the same as soon as you put any pressure on the clutch pedal. I thought it could possibly be the engine mounts, but can't feel anything through either of the other pedals, and it doesn't seem related to the rpm.

Is there any conclusive test i can do to confirm it's definitely the clutch? Also, if it does turn out to be the clutch, how easy is it to change on my model?

Any advice is greatly appreciated, wife is in a panic because she needs the car to get to work..

John

Does the juddering go when doing 30-40mph and changing gears, say 3 to 4th.
Jack up the front end and see if there's any change, with the pressure of the wheels.

There is no juddering while normal driving, only when changing gear and it is the same at all speeds and conditions.

Will get it up and have a go tomorrow.

Is it an engine out job to change the clutch?

Thanks for your replies.

John.

I have the very same issue! The clutch pedal vibrates through 4th gear at around 50mph. As soon as I hit 55mph it seems to stop.
