Is there a guide on how to remove a dodgy alternator on a 2003 2.0 hdi?
Iv had a quick search but was unfruitful. Things look very tight and any guidance would be helpful.

thanks

You also have to unbolt the power steering pump and tie it to the engine, (no need to take the pipes off)

iv done it!!
power steering pump didn't need removing. the auto tensioner did. it was a pain to remove but easy to refit. Hardest part was refitting the belt.

i think the only reason they say remove the steering pump is for clearance as it sits over the top of the alternator really and yes the auto pensioner for the aux belt is a f-c-c-r
