Hello everyone,
I owe a 206 produced in 2005 that has done only a total of 45,000 km.
Two weeks ago I did a regular maintenance and was told that automatic gearbox oil had to be changed and I was lucky because it was never changed before. Also I was told that since the oil was in a very bad state I had to change again the gearbox oil in 1 month.
I have been searching around to find a maintenance schedule for the automatic gearbox oil, but haven't found one. Previously I had owned only manual gearbox and didn't even know that automatic gearbox needed an oil change. So my question is how often should the gearbox oil be changed and if it makes sense that after a change it needs to be changed again after 1 month?
Thanx

It has a wear counter for the oil but requires main dealer software to access this
Personally I advise you dont have it changed, as with this style of automatic box you HAVE TO RUN THE CORRECT FLUID. Otherwise it is detrimental to the box.
The gearbox ecu will notify you when it requires the oil changing. Personally I think that garage is talking b******s

Thank you for the reply. I thought that as well since there was no ECU warning at all...and it doesn't make sense to change the oil only after 1 month
