I know I am gonna sound like a dumb blonde but I cant get the old gear knob off my car. Ive youtubed it and done everything it said...lifted the gator, taken off the cable tie and now the thing should just pull up......but it wont?
Am I doing something wrong?
There may be a HOW TO on here but I cant find it...

1 foot on passenger seat 1 foot on drivers seat, stand over it, PULL!!!
Difficult bit will be when it either leaves the sleeve or it doesn't, sods law says it will be the opposite to what you need.

Take the gear knob cap off, working from the top cut down with an hacksaw, just watching you don't cut into the white plastic underneath.
