No different to any other as long as they have the correct locking keys

tbh its not that a easy job to do on the 180 as said above you do need the right locking tools, the engine does not have to come right out but you do need to undo the engine mounts and move the egine accross in the bay to make enough room to change it.

Kyle [gti180boy] in Stafford (J13 M6) charged about £150 to do it on my 180 a few years ago [I bought the cambelt kit & water pump from a motor factors].
It took about 4 hours to do.
He did Jamie's too I think, as well as a host of others. Highly recommended Thumb Up (if he's still doing it, of course - he works for a VW garage now)

I got a dig bick.
You that read wrong.
You read that wrong too.

Peugeot book time is 6.5 hours IIRC.

Not an engine out jobby, but does require moving the engine across off the mounts like previously said. A lot of care is needed when locking the engine in place when removing the belt, and it's a bit of a pig to do. IIRC the most common one is the exhaust cam to jump a tooth or 2 during a belt change. What caused so many people to come on here saying they'd had the belt changed and the car was running like a pig & way down on power.

Shut it u stupid little f**k, what's the point in posting in all my treads being such a c***? Least I can afford a gti180, and to get the cam belt done!

So apparently everyone knows my financial situation? If I wanted a 180 I would have bought a 180 simples Smile

Mine was out a tooth or too before it was changed my friend (mechanic said) unsure if mine has had two changes in it's life but it runs better than when I first got it seems alot more punchy.

When I got my first 180 garages never wanted to touch it and they said things like you need a Peugeot specialist but I thought everyone had got over that now it's not new ect lol.
