By the amount of jump starts its highly possible. Just start with that earth strap or whatever has been mentioned and also replace the battery to if you still have poor voltage for the cars systems.

Peugeots run a delicate system, as it by far far more advanced than most! How do you think our looms are so thin compares to bmw for example?

Will keep you updated Smile

Great news!!!

Friend of mine stripped back the cable that connects chassis to gearbox and connected a new lug. Removed the bolt holding existing lug to gear box and connected both old and new lug back.

Key in the ignition for a few mins to let the BSI sort itself out and turned over first time and the only issue seems to be an "Anti pollution" fault.

Battery has been disconnected for weeks and I didn't even have to program my stereo back in.

Sounds to me like I have been very lucky here, but I'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone for helping me get this resolved!

Glad it's running again.
Stereo is VIN coded so doesn't need a code entering

You need to get the codes scanned to find out what's causing the anti-pollution warning.

That explains it then. I don't have any codes so was expecting to have to buy a new one. So very happy.

How much would a code kit (connectors and software) set me back? Not sure anyone on the forum is too close to me.

You can buy cheap ones from ebay for about £10. PP2000 is anything from £50 from a cloned version.

You're 2005, so an E-OBD (OBD-II) scanner will be good enough for general code reading.

Some garages will do it for free, you may have to blag them once you get the code that you don't have enough money to book it in for repair at the moment and you'll sort it in New Year

After giving the car a good old run the Anti-pollution fault has cleared itself. With any luck it was just a dirty sensor or something. Thanks again guys
