Not sure if this is a problem?
I'm a 17 year old car noob so yep, get the laughs out now. (Ha ha ha!)
I've been learning in a brand new 1.6L Diesel Fiesta, and the clutch is absolutely brilliant. You literally feel the bite, bring it up (Foot nowher near the accelerator at this point) and then, once the clutch has you moving, hit the gas. So I finally got the 206 out for a drive last night, and because I expected a similar thing, I kept stalling to my total bemusement.
Worked out I need to put some revs in along with the clutch. Is there a way that I can make my 206's clutch similar to my instructor's Fiesta's clutch?
Is it to do with diesel/petrol? Engine size? Better clutch on the Ford? One of my mates mentioned something about 'choke' whatever that is?
Any help would be massively appreciated

Every clutch in every car is different. You just need to adapt your driving style to the bite point.

Learn to drive your 206. You might even like it.

If your car is a petrol, then yes diesels can move with just the clutch. You definitely need to apply some revs.

I was exactly the same when i got into my 206. I did my lessons in a Kia Picanto and a Toyota Yaris. I got into my 206 and realised that my clutch was so high when finding the bite point. Nowadays im fine with it. And you will ajust soon enough

It is all down to the type of engine. Usually, the more powerful the engine, the lower the bite will be (so you won't have to move the clutch up as high to get it to move). My 1.1's bite is just on the edge of the pedal, if it's just me in the car, I can drive it off the clutch, but it only takes a little bit too much and it'll stall. Sit on your drive and slowly lift the clutch with your handbrake up, you'll suddenly feel it give a pull. That should help you with your driving:)

Guess your 206 is a petrol? Diesels are much easier to get going without revs... a 206 HDI is the same Petrols require some accelerator but when your used to it its just as easy (and fun)

Most cars haven't had one of those since the 70s!! At least not a manual one you control ... they are automatic now and linked to temp sensors and ECUs ...
My mate's Mum used hers to hang her handbag on and wondered why she was always refilling the tank ...

Diesel engines produce more torque at lower revs, so can pull the car just on the clutch.
Petrol cars tend to produce less torque at lower revs, so they stall.

Went from a diesel corsa learning to a 106gti that you couldnt rock pushing on it, the suspension was that stiff, everything was so heavy and had no visibility due to cage and bucket seats, took a while adapting ! 206 clutch feels like heaven now
