Hi all,
I've just had a new clutch, fork and nose cone fitted to my car and now the clutch pedal feels VERY light and also the biting point seems to be quite high (not any higher than it was before but I thought with a brand new clutch the biting point should be much lower down). I just want to ask if the clutch needs some sort of adjustment after being fitted that perhaps wasn't done? I have a '05 206 GTi 180.

As far as I know due to the hydraulic clutch (that is self adjusting) that is about normal... As long as it doesn't slip!

I had a brand new clutch and cable and biting point isn't low I personally like it high rather than too low, correct me if I'm wrong but I hear most peugeots or just 206 have high biting points.

both my 180's were the same when i had new clutch's fitted and they have never been a prblem since they were done.

I bet it needs bleeding. It should be nice and smooth. What are gear changes like.

ehhh I suppose they're super smooth. You can feel the jolt forward when acceleration stops and it comes out of gear but when putting it back into the next gear and releasing the clutch you can't really feel it going into a new gear, it just feels like it's still in neutral until I accelerate again

Just changed the clutch in my 1.4HDi and had to bleed it up again. Not too bad to do, easy with 2 of you.
