From the service beginning of november it was highlighted that the n/s droplink was worn but have yet to replace it, how long can I go for before it causes other damage? Got my mot end of feb so was thinking of getting it done then as it's been 3 months already almost

If its badly worn it will more than likely fail mot. It wouldn't cause much in the way of damage, but better to get it seen to sooner rather than later. Motor factors are usually around the £10 mark + vat, and its only 2 bolts to undo. Just sometimes you need a grinder to take the old one off. Garage shouldn't charge you more than half hour labour for it.

as far as damage goes I wouldn't think of that as such, when it gets to the point of knocking over speed bumps is when id change them, more to the point of the knocking will get annoying, if your confident its a ten min job to do your self, either source the parts from ebay or somewhere like euro car parts etc, take the wheel off and there right there, bit of wd40/ penetrating fluid to loosen them up, and a socket the right size, either 15,16 or 17? if your lucky they will have a spanner on the back, if not use mole grips, as there getting replaced, I wouldn't worry about damaging them

16mm ratchet spanner and torx bit...that's all they need.

my advisory drop link lasted over 3 years and still didnt fail when it was replaced, i would change it when it starts to knock

I changed them a few days ago because the knocking was very annoying.
Now it's pleasure to drive in quiet over small bumps

Lot of very low cars run cut & welded drop links if no-one makes proper shortened ones to fit.
However the picture above doesnt appear to be for that reason lol. I dont understand why you wouldnt just use new ones they hardly cost the earth.
