Thank you:) everyone seems to like it but me, haha. Can't stand a project that's not finished! getting my arches rolled soon. Bringing the rear out and covering the front up with GTi arches! that'll make me smile! only thing I dislike at the moe.

lil' update!
got a bit annoyed of my car throwing mud up itself every day! bit OCD so used to clean it every time I got home, haha!
purchased some lovely mudflaps! they're not OEM but they'll probably drag on the floor anyway with my ride height, so didn't want to spend money if they'll get replaced every so many weeks/months! £9 of cheapness!
also managed to pick up some SP grills off a GTi 180! not really a fan of the chrome, will probably spray it all gloss black:)
Also got some of the automatic tweeter/window thingy triangle watcha-ma-calls-its as mine was original a manual turned automatic.
came with the uprated tweeters which are free to a good home as long as they pay postage / come pick them up, lol:)

another fineeeeee purchase! Going to spray all the SP kit gloss black, looks good silver but I reckon black will really suite the car, especially with the roof and such. Just the waiting game now until stuff comes:)

Hey, everyone. Another juicy little update! Stuff is actually happening with the car, it's not all cosmetic though, I'm afraid:( Waiting on fancy things to be delivered mainly!
First of all, my 180 glovebox turned up!
didn't like the chrome, so I ripped it apart and placed it onto my old glovebox as the chrome was very 90's and too "groovy" for me, lol;)
decided to finally fit these tweeter triangles!
thought I'd include some ACTION SHOTS!!! tweeter! wheyy!
PROFESSIONAL SEAL JOB FOR OPTIMUM SOUND QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE...COUGHHHHHHHHHH (sometimes I can't even take myself seriously)
...done properly, lol.
MOT is on 14th of feb, so I thought it's about time to sort out the lack of brakes.
here's a few shots of my disks;)
oh, and here's the better pads I had (didn't think of taking a photo of the worst as was tad distracted by putting a car together...in the dark, lol.)

got a few goodies in the post the day after! first up is my SP grill! did a little trial fitting!
perfecto! going to spray it completely gloss black as like I say, chrome is too groovy for me;)
mudflaps arrived!
due to total refusal of buying a front sports bumper, I gave MrRichmond my bottom SP grill, and got the mesh on the go!
while I had the wheel off, I noticed I could probably get another mm or so from my front arch to my tyre before causing any proper damage to the arches.... Sooooooo, I decided to remove the helper spring locks (they're fully wound down so why not, heyyooo) Probably can't tell the difference to normal, it's about a mm or two lower than before.. Big difference on the speed bumps it turns out, hahah
So my fancy mesh turns up, and so the strip begins....
and now I'm going to leave you hanging as it's nearly 2am and I'm off to bed, lol! enjoy a quick video of my car scraping the solihull college speed bumps, though!

So, finally back with lot's of fun things! basically a GTi 180 near us was getting broken for parts, and was cheap.... Next minute had bought the rear axle, front brakes, and an engine package (and he'd take my 1.1 off my hands)
the outcome...
I do apologise for no pictures of the build, it was my first ever time doing something like this so didn't want to look a prat if you noticed me doing anything wrong:p managed to get it all together but could get it to run. A lot of help from Addaz later, it came to life! still waiting on a custom exhaust system and induction kit for it then I'll get it remapped and dyno'd to see if it's running more than 59hp;)
I also went to my local garage and had some smoothing done....to my wheels. I purchased two 17" challenger alloys for the front due to the width difference to tuck them under my arches for more lowwws! had them smooth out the centre cap to look identical to challengers.
Definitely worth the money. Was shocked it was even possible, lol:) guessing it's a filler job but I'm no expert. Just happy they was able to do what I wanted.
I also decided to stuff the whole SP grills and resell them. I sort of like the honeycomb look, especially on my non sport bumper:)
with the front tucked the cars deffo lower too, got to love it! considering looking at getting my front bumper extended like Addaz has his and maybe some side skirts to hide my ruined sills.
That's pretty much all I've done for now, guys. Challenger alloys, back to honeycomb and a 2 litre engine... not bad? pretty sure the last three mods for this car will be exhaust, an induction kit then finally colour coded a/b/c pillars (inside) and she's finished. Can't wait to get past the whole "I've got no money cause I mod my car" phase;)

I pay insurance yearly not monthly, mentioned the engine change to them over the phone and they were like "okay" so I'm just rolling at £1800 for the year:)

Got to hand it to you, some way you've came from the standard car, i suppose it really would have made more sense just buying a 180 in the first place, but then you wouldn't get the satisfaction of knowing you've done it yourself, how long did it take yous to swap over all the parts?

Merrh, I'd say £800 was spent to get the car to 180 spec. Only difference is the front wings and bumper which I actually prefer to the sports bits. I would have went straight for a 180 but I'd have wanted a silver one, and then all the money I've spent doing up this one sort of goes to waste. Was definetely more satisfying doing a DIY job:) plus it means I can guarantee the engines going to stay running for awhile as everything's been stripped down and checked. I'd say it was two weeks at maximum to go from 1.1 to 2l and working.

Welcome back tow strap!!! missed that little guy! haha;) recently became a fan of detailing, pretty much all that's happened, guys and gals. can't resist leaving it alone if it's got a speckle of dust, no matter dirt!
My old mudflaps sadly died a death last week after meeting a cambered road so got to order another set:(
Managed to get my hands on a set of air horns for £12, 135db, been cruising around today giving people heart attacks, haha! wired them up so that there's a switch to control between normal horn and the air horns as they they're not really what you want on the daily, aha. If anyones interested in how it was done or wants to see/hear them I'll do a quick video showing how they've been mounted, wired, etc.
Also, been talking to torqueflow about booking in a complete custom exhaust setup including decat. I'm thinking between either quad pipes (so two either side of bumper) or a giant fart cannon? what you reckon guys?? the plan is loud as f**k no matter what, easy way to make a car a "head turner"
