So, has anyone cut a standard front bumper mouth to fit a GTI mesh grille? I only ask as I have acquired a mesh grill and don't want to shell out on a GTI bumper. Cheers for any advice.

The gti bumper is bigger so probably wont work. Easier cheap and quicker to buy a gti bumper.

Yeah, the GTI grille looks good and is bigger, and if it can't be done then I might just sell the sp grille. Just wondered if anyone had taken the chance to do it?

SP grill won't fit standard bumper... Tried myself. It's expensive to go from non sport to sport. You'll have to replace your wings as well as front bumper otherwise the bumper doesn't fit... Sports wings are about 65 a side for my EZR pug... Then there's the bumper as well... Not worth it, haha. I've bought some mesh and just going to fit that.

You don't have to replace the wings when fitting sport bumper, will fit fine with none sport wings.

The only difference I had was front arch liners are different, All the panels lined up fine. I might have a few photos some where, Was like 5/6 years go tho lol.
Edit...
This was mine with bumper on non sport wings... (best pic I can find atm, date is 2009 on this one lol)
