Firstly today I changed the n/s wishbone, as the balljoint came out the inner C/V popped out the gearbox, so pushed back in, now it as an oil leak. Are they usually that easy to pop out and damage the seal?
Secondly iv noticed it as had a slight thrust bearing noise for some time but today it is rather loud and difficult to gears. What is best coarse of action?
thanks in advance

The seals probably gone, they can be pretty delicate when not treat nicely and it's pretty common to pop the shaft when removing the wishbones so I wouldn'tworry too much about it. It's a pretty simple job to replace but it does mean the new wishbones coming off again. It also sounds like it's time for a new clutch buddy, be silly to do just the bearing while you have the gearbox off, unless you know it's been done recently that is.

Driveshaft has to come out to do the clutch, so might as well do the seal at the same time. Although seals are only cheap, no point replacing the seal only to risk damaging it again when the box comes out and then have to replace it when you discover it's leaking again.

About the norm. You have rung around; you know what people charge. If you included your location it would be easier for anyone to recommend somewhere.
