The thrust bearing has gone on my HDI GTI now after months of making dodgy sounds!

So the whole lot is now being done as the car has just gone over 100k miles.

My mate is doing it with the Valeo Clutch & Flywheel kit for £610 including labour.

He seems to think we can do it in less than the book time says which is 10 hours- i'm not so sure about that, but hey ho lol.

The Valeo DMF and clutch kit.

I have found no useful SMF comments so going DMF - i will sell the car at around September time to buy a carpet for my house lol i dont do enough miles to justify a diesel any more.

Heard of plenty of extra drive train vibration & also snapped crankshafts caused by fitting solid flywheel conversions Laughing

I do a lot of dmf conversions on mondeos mate. Dmf are shi!!. Go for the kit but bear in mind buying a clutch later on me results in buying the whole kit just for the clutch
