Hi all,
I have been looking into getting some seats for the car recently, and after trying a large range I've decided to go for some Mirco's. They're very lightweight, comfortable for road and track and come with FIA approval.
I've been speaking to a few companies and have the prices posted below if we can sort out a group buy. The seats will be coming from Poland (where Mirco are based) so prices will also be + £15 per seat for delivery to the UK. I am still discussing group buy prices with a UK company. If they can match or beat the Poles at their own game then I will update and we will be going through them.
I went to view and try a huge range of seats on Wednesday which is why I've decided to negotiate for the full range of Mirco seats, as dependant on your size and intended use you can choose the right seat for you. Info on advice for fitment / use is provided below. The seats in the deal are the RTS, RS1 and RS2 as pictured below:
Also as a neat extra, we can also have the Renault Sport logo embroidered into the seats. This will cost an extra £10 per seat and can be put on either the headrest or backrest:
Mirco RS1
These seats retail at around £280 if purchased normally. We can get £215.00 if 10 seats / 5 sets are purchased. £201 if 20 seats / 10 sets are purchased. (+£15 shipping per seat).
The RS1 is quite a compact seat. The shoulder straps are located a little lower then then RS2; I am 5"9 with a very slim build and I fitted in perfectly with the shoulder strap holes lining up just above my shoulders. I would recommend this seat for drivers from 5"7 - 6ft. I imagine smaller drivers would still fit alright though but would recommend trying first.
Mirco RS2
These seats retail at around £295 if purchased normally. We can get £220.00 if 10 seats / 5 sets are purchased. £205 if 20 seats / 10 sets are purchased (+15 shipping per seat). You can purchase these seats in pure black, or black with blue, grey, orange, red or yellow trim on the sides.
The RS2 is the same as the RS1, only built for bigger drivers. I found this seat a little too big both on width and height for me. I would recommend this seat for people over 6ft. It is also a little bit wider, and was described to me as also being 'suitable for avid beer drinkers'.
Comparison of RS1 and RS2 sizes can be found here:

I will be using these seats on both road and track, but with the head restraints I would say that the RS1 and RS2 are better suited to track use due to blind spots and restriction of moving head freely. However, these seats will pass an MOT and if you lean forward just a tad while driving then blind spots won't be an issue. You can purchase these seats in pure black, or black with blue, grey, orange, red or yellow trim on the sides.
Mirco RTS
These seats retail at around £280 if purchased normally. We can get £163.00 if 10 seats / 5 sets are purchased. £154 if 20 seats / 10 sets are purchased. (+£15 shipping per seat). I am currently double checking these prices as it seems insanely cheap! You can purchase these seats in black, blue or red.
These seats are around the same suitability as the RS2, however if you're using them on the road I wouldn't see any issues in smaller drivers also using the RTS as you are not going to be throwing yourself into every corner and bombing past other drivers. They are very comfortable seats and I would say that although they can be used for track, out of the Mirco range they would be best suited to road use. They do not include head restraints like the RS1 or RS2 so any blind spot issues would be avoided, plus they look more stock.
Everything else you may need that are offered are priced as below:
- £30 for side mounts to one seat
- £30 for sliders to one seat
- £50 for one subframe (driver side or passenger side)

Would 206info members really want 'Renault Sport' written on their seats?

hah oops ok I should admit, my Pug went a few years back, I now own a Renault Sport. I was passing on the offer to other forums I'm a member of and forgot to edit that bit out on 206info!
As for the group buy, I will now be running it via a UK company so the prices will go up a tad, not by much. If anyone is interested please drop me a private message.
