Hi All,
Hopefully a relatively quick one to answer please.
Had "Antipollution Fault" warning this morning, car briefly went into limp mode but cleared again. When I got home, lifted bonnet to see if anything obvious - strong diesel smell and seems to be a leak around the fuel filter area.
Just checked the Haynes manual and not very clear photos of my particular filter, but on the front of the housing, facing toward the back of the rad is a port/spout which Haynes label as where you bleed the water from the filter. It looks like it is threaded, but there is no bung or screw in it, it is open. Should this have a bung in it, as it looks as if this is where the leak is?
Thanks

Well it don't have a bung on it,it should be left open,so that when water got mixed with diesel,it find it's way out as the diesel flow on top,and at the bottom water still,so to fix this problem,u need a new filter housing,or u can send me your car VIN,so i can see exactly what needs to be replaced :).

Thanks for reply, I had found that there is no bung in this hole via a lot of google searching last night. Seems mine has the water bleed at the bottom and the port at the front of the housing is blanked off.
Hubby tightened top of the filter housing last night and seems to have cured the leak. Doesn't help the anti-pollution fault, but car is running OK for now, so will sort that another time. Need to get codes read to find out cause.

Glad that you got it fixed,as the smell of the diesel can be so nasty while driving :(,well you are doing the right thing by getting fault codes read to fix the anti-pollution fault,as it can be cause by more than one item.
Keep up posted if you need any help
