Hi, any advice welcome on this.

Ran over some debris on the M25 the other day, upshot of that was a hole in the fuel tank so was recovered home, taking the car to local Peugeot dealers on the assumption they'd be best equipped to fix (I know...)

Anyway, the part is £673.83+VAT. But they cannot get it as it's on back order for a week. So I got one from a local scrap yard - exact match, same model year (late 2001 51 plate), and arranged for it to be delivered.

It arrived and I had my fingers crossed... until the call comes 'there's a pipe on the (new) tank thats bent, it's heat wrapped on and it's no use we cannot fit it.' The pipe is not available on it's own.

My proposal? Get the car back to mine, have a proper look and get this pipe (if true) fabricated or ordered - there must be specialists out there?

Any helpful advice from anyone?

For the cost of the new tank one of the broken pipes could be fixed I'm sure!
