Bilstein make good dampers although my first lot were dangerously corroded after 7 years. I still use Bilstein though and now have H&R springs. Previously I used Eibach.

I'm using koni yellow sport with koni-supplied springs (perhaps made by H&R).
Overall, handling department is much better than original Peugeot setup.
Ride quality is good, its slightly ply at low speed and get firmer as the speed build up.
Soft/hard (rebound settings) is adjustable to your liking.
Ride is only affected on the worst road surfaces.

206 1.6L 16V XT - RIP
206 GTi 138++

Koni Sport dampers, H&R springs, GTi180/RC rear axle and front ARB. Sparco strut bar, Yokohama AD08R tyres, Raceland 4-1 manifold, Remus backbox, Magnaflow sport cat, Catcams Fast Road cams, Unichip Q piggyback ECU, Pipercross VIS kit, Vibra Technics mount kit, 283mm Brembo Max front discs and rear discs, Ferodo DS2500 front & rear brake pads, Goodridge brake hoses, 307 23.8mm master cylinder, brake servo and calipers; Quaife LSD, AST adjustable top mounts and 206 WRC rear spoiler (just can't resist it).

Postpone / KIV / Coming soon: Mocal oil cooler kit.
Removed: Combrake top mounts.
