Abs light is permanently on I took it to local garage who plugged it in to diagnostics the fault read c0033 wheel speed sensor front ring they said it involved changing front cb joint which they did but it did not cure fault they cleared it but it came back straight away. They do not know what the problem is and advise to take to an official purgeot dealership any ideas what the problem is and how much it will cost

Or maybe connection/wiring issue, to the sensor.

ABS sensor for sure, when the Abs rings go, they enlarge and run out of true and wear down the sensor, so when the rings go it is best to remove the sensor straight away, until the ring is fixed.
Meaning now you will have a bigger gap between the new ring and the worn sensor, and is not reading.
Change the sensor and you will be ok. light will go off when you drive a couple of minutes.
