I was actually researching the same thing it's rather dumb if its by design lol oh well guess I will deal with it.... But mine only goes to ac if left over night or a good few hours otherwise it stays at the same heat fan speed and Eco mode if I leave the car for a couple hours.

If thats true then it seems like a good design by Peugeot, having the AC when your screen is condensated clears it alot quicker than just hot air.

Another pointless thread due to people not understanding how climate control works Rolling Eyes

Just leave it set to AUTO & change the temp setting when needed.

If you have the A/C turned off so it displays ECO and use the OFF button to turn off the climate control at the end of your journey but then use the OFF button again to turn it on the next time you start (rather than AUTO) then it will retain and use your previous settings. If you hit AUTO then you are giving the climate control total control to do whatever it needs to quickly get to and stabilise the temperature you have set and it will turn on the aircon automatically to help it do that

Similarly, if you hit the front demister button then the A/C will be switched on for an automatic rapid demist

An exception is when the outside temp is near freezing and then the A/C won't be allowed to start in order to prevent internal damage

Hehe this just made me laugh, i just posted a similar question, i hate the air con coming on automatically, but just see an interesting reply on your post, setting the air con off, i will try that tomorrow.

I also saw a few replys stating live with it so on, thats not too helpful when you are arking a simple question, i say this, if they arks a question about their car say live with it back lol.

When i first get in i put the ignition on. Look to see what the climate control is on and adjust it accordingly before i start the car. Owned it for 10 years and seems the best way for me.
