I may well be needing calipers, the handbrake only works if i,m breaking my arm, i need a shoulder oparations and this isn't helping. there's a brake weight addjuster as well which i have never heard of, been told all cars have this, it was rusted solid but i think its ok, what a stupid design, in English weather and salt its killed it to be honest.

The cars right wing mirror is wobbly inside but can't seam to get it apart, its retractable type.

Not being funny but any tips on more grunt, it has a pipe cross filter and i,m sure it has a none standard rear box because its so loud. I,m an x biker so cars feel pretty dam slow. But really like the gt even tho its got a mind of its own, if i let it it will wonder of in fields lol.

I,m seing my macanic monday, will look again at its rear brakes, if they no good i may well let you know, what condition is yours?

Lets try to deal with this one at a time. I remove the brake compensator as the MOT states it "has to work if fitted". I have taken it off my rally car for obvious reasons but you need a good mechanic who can remake the brake pipes up to keep your diagonally opposed system working. Alternatively you can free yours up with WD40 and elbow grease.
The handbrake would benefit from rear discs and pads if the cables are free. As the rear brakes do very little work on a GT they tend to rust pretty quick. Rust does not make for a good braking surface.
The mirror issue can only be solved by buying a second hand set which is two mirrors and the switch. It would break up a set otherwise.

Hope it helps

Job done today and so difficult, those lower arms and their pins wone come out, something is so odd, i simple job of 3 hours turned out to be 7 hours.

New shocks, strut mounts, track rod ends, and 1 right side antiroll linkage. Its now handling very well, nive and tight streering.

The shaking was a badly damaged wheel so thats scrap.

Does anyone has issues removing lower arms on the 206,

Next is rear axle grrr 170 quid.

my Gt, it's a work in progress.

pipe cross filter, none standard rear box, centre and vent trims done in silver. silver mesh front grill, had to make this myself, oil catch can with home made filter, still to fit.

it's had new front shocks, track rod ends, osram bulbs, atiroll links and struts.
cam belt. restored leather by me.

problems it had, despairing coolant, cooling fan not working, air bag lights on.
coolant issues was broken pipe on the expansion tank, fan was a relay.

wheels are in very bad condition and may well get new ones, i'm thinking of gun mental grey thin spokes with polished rims.

still to fix, rear axle is knacked, rear breaks not working well, air bad modual needs replacing. rev counter slightly off.

wish list replace its rear boot with one that has the gti fin.

speakers are so bad i can't use them, they need replacing with some good ones.
having sat nav power cable fitting in the roof.

1038 - V...POA alive and well in Norfolk. Have just rebuilt the back axle, front suspension and brake lines after being off road for 4 years. Straight through the MOT and having the bodywork tidied up and wheels powder coated. Always wanted a GT for some reason since they first came out. Finally scratching the itch.....would love to know more history of my car other than a spares project from an ebay trader!!
