Hi,

As heading rearly, Ive just got the pp2000 and conected it up. It reads the bsi/engine/airbag ecu but not the Aircon ecu even though i have it (doesnt work).

Can someone please tell me where it is located on the car so i can investigate?

Also can someone give me some guidence on the following.

1, should my O2 sensor be showing a fixed value?
2, The O2 sensor is only 1 year old yet the ecu is showing a permanant fault with the heater of the sensor........... could i have bought the wrong one?
3, where can i see the number of fault code wipes the ecu has already had as i beleive it can only go though 40 of them.

Sorry for the many questions.

Regards

Joe

Well if the Aircon Unit didn't show up while running diagnostic,it means that the ECU has not replied, check the fuses,if all is good, check the harness,if all is good, then you need a new Aircon. control unit,I'm assuming you have electronic aircon.

to answer your other questions:
1-Your O2 sensor should not show a fixed value,it keeps changing.
2-Well every O2 sensor have a heater, that heat the sensor on cold starts,so no matter how old the sensor is,this gets faulty,so the EML on,and need to be replaced.
3-When you enter the Engine ECU,there is something (Faults History),so click on it,and you will see the dates and kilometers of it all,if it's not deleted by anyone before somehow.

Cheers,
Tim

Thanks for replying,

Ive checked all fuses and they apear good as does all harneses but i do not know where the aircon control unit is?????? so i can not fully check it out. Any info will help me on this one. I have the basic one button tyre of aircon.

1, I guess i should buy a new O2 sensor then as the value does not change from 0980 i think from memory.
2, My EML light does NOT come on for this fault........... do i have a problem???
3, Im not sure if there is diffrent versions of PP2000 but mine does not show a date or milage on the faults and i can not see "fault history" If i deleat it which i can it will just come back.

Any more help on this would be very much appriciated.

Thanks

Jo

Do you have a screen to control the aircon. or just switches?,a pic of what you got can be more helpful,as if your car have a manual aircon. control, there will be no special section of it while testing it using PP2000.

A new O2 sensor will fix the fault u got,but I recommend that you test the wiring harness leading to the O2 sensor,if all is ok,then buy a new one.

Do your EML light be on when you turn ignition on,then it goes off when the car start? if so,then your car is fine, but if there is no EML light on at all ,then you have a problem

Well all pp2000 version have the same feat.,you will find it after clearing the fault section,on the list of what u can do in the Engine ECU.

Cheers,
Tim

Hi Tim,

No screen just the 1 botton type. So i guess it wont have its own ecu then???

Any recomendations for how to test the o2 wireing?

My EML does light up when i turn ignition on and goes off with no problems.

Ill have to have a further play around with it to try find all the fetures.

One more questions if i may?????????? How do you use the other cables etc that came with it? or should i ask what are they for?

Cheers
