Hi new to this group and in need of assistancet. Every time i put my foot down the clutch you could hear a squeaking/squealing noise from the engine/exhaust. It only started happening recently when i start the car for the first drive of the day, I could also hear ticking/knocking noise from the engine from time to time which I don't think is normal but I'm not sure what it is.

Was wondering if any of you had this kind of problem before.

Car seems to run fine apart from those problem listed Smile

Thanks in advance Smile

Could be the clutch release bearing.

Exactly what he said, you might as well change the clutch too

Well to replace the release bearing you would need to disconnect the gear box so unless you are a confident diy mechanic, it would be best to get a garage to do it. The cost also depends on where abouts you live. I paid £290 to have a clutch kit supplied and fitted along with a clutch cable fitted too (which I supplied).

definitely getting the garage to do it but was just wondering how much roughly it would cost, thanks again

No problem mate. When my release bearing was sqeaking it would do so even once the car was warmed up and it lasted about a week until it completely went. So it seems like yours may last longer. But if you can, get it fixed asap. Especially if you rely on your car for work etc. If there's anything else you want to know ask away Smile

Hmm, normally if the clutch release bearing is going, it isn't something that disappears after warming up as far as I'm aware?(correct me otherwise anyone?)
I would be inclined to have the AUX belt checked out, even the squealing noise you described sounds to loud in the video to be the clutch release bearing.

ah i see thank you i should be fine for now i guess i'm only using the car maybe once or twice a week and don't normally cover over 10 miles on it as I'm currently in uni and i usually just bike it in the morning and i only use the car for the supermarket trip etc Smile

got the car checked up and its apparently the thrust bearing, think im going back home next week end so hopefully get it fixed there in the country side(cheaper labor lol) only question i have at the moment is the knocking/ticking sound not sure what it is and i think its coming from the engine. Question

Thanks again for the help
