I've picked up on my 206 being quicker some days than others sometimes there's a difference in the space of a few hours. Last night I was out with a friend who drives a 1.6 astra anyway on the way to this place every time she tried to overtake me on the motorway I could put the foot down and pull away from her at a struggle I did this consistently all the way she didn't get passed once. On the other hand coming home 2 hours later same thing but this time she creeped past me ever so slightly exact same motorway just a different direction. I've noticed this before but I thought it was just my mind but now I know it is actually doing it.

What could be the cause of this? Also it takes longer to go from 70 to 80 than 80 to 95 could that be related

Perhaps it's her car that's performing differently,
& the acceleration figures you quote could be down to gearing.

That's possible but the part that I missed out on the same drive I overtook my friends mg zr when he was flat out granted i had a runner at it but on the way back i couldn't keep up. Then tonight I managed to leave the mg sitting like it wasn't moving it's if it just goes when it wants to. Also throwing this out here I'm not one of those people that race everywhere I go haha just can't help yourself sometimes. And what is the typical top speed of these I struggle at 105 but it gets to 110 115 eventually. < private road btw

if pulls better between 80 and 95 means it's set to perform at top end

My 2000 2.0 HDi had top speed of 110, then went onto 120 after stage1 remap; very responsive in every range

As to behaving differently, maybe you were on a slope/hille? Very Happy honestly, can't advise, maybe due to temperatures?..

Could be anything, like sim says temp plays a big part of its a cool morning after the cars warmed up mine feels more evil than on let's say a hot summers afternoon.
We have had a few warm nights recently.
Cooler air you always going to be better off. Cars like cooler air when boosted that's why people add intercooler.

I knew about the cool air thing mines goes like the clappers in a cold morning I think it might be my ait filter thats holding it back when I think about it, it sits really close to the radiator and doesn't have a cold air feed because I lost it during the install and never found it or bought another one, so that probably getting constant warn air fed to it
