Hey all,

After some engine, trouble fixed with a new injector, I got a blue tooth connector from goliton.net and the full torque pro app for android for resetting fault codes etc..
But now I'm exploring what else I might do with it e.g. use it to figure out what Mpg/LpK I'm getting. Thing is I can't figure out how it's done or even if it can be done with a petrol 1.1 02 lx.

So has anybody managed it?

I'm hoping I don't have to start measuring volumes at the pump Smile

I don't think electronically it would be possible for a third party device to simply be plugged in and grab all the figures from the cars computer, it isn't quite that simple.

Your best bet is to sign up for an account on fuelly and when you fill up take the mileage and use the price/litres and it will give you a figure.

I have Peugeot Planet/DiagBox.

Easiest way is to brim the tank every time. Enter the mileage and how many litres you've put in on fuelly.com and it works out your mpg. Not the most accurate way, but without putting a measured amount in the tank, driving until you need more fuel, draining what's left, measuring it, doing the mathematics x-y/miles it's definitely the easiest. It's no good if you only put a fixed price eg £10, £15 etc in each time though.

I'm not sure if this will help but it's a link to the mpg function of the torque app:

torque-bhp.com/wiki/MPG

Good stuff. Though I reckon I'll have to use that website the other mentioned.

Seeing as the OP should have a multiplexed 206 going by the age of the car, a trip computer retrofit would be the easiest & most accurate way of working out the true MPG.

Let the BSI unit work out & display the MPG for you.

What's required to make this retro fit work? Quite interested in this one!
Regards, Richard.

I'm all ears Smile Always keen to hear about a, hopefully, cheap upgrade.

You need the 3 line PPT 40 display & the trip computer button for the end of the wiper stalk.

Some 206 need a BSI setting tweak.

Some 206 have a all in one wiper stalk where its more difficult to fit the trip button in to.
