Hello,

I have Peugeot 206 petrol 1.6, 2003.year, with digital aircon.

1.
From recently:
-When I turning car ON, and digital aircon is set OFF there is ticking noise: tik-tik-tik-tik-tik: for about 10sec
-If I turn car ON and digital aircon is set ON there is no ticking noise.

What could it be?

2.
Yellow metal thing on trip computer is broken:
 

Do you know what part number is this?

3.
Both door locks are damaged by theft attempts - only remote control work. I would like to repair at least one lock. I know few thing about repair regular locks, but is there some guide how to access it and unmount it?

4.
abs pump doesn't work most of times.
I have pp2000, can I in ECU disable ABS completly?
(code:Permanent fault. ABS/ASR (traction control) recirculation pump. Pump locked,CO,CC- or CC+.)

1. is that 10 out of 10 times?:)

2. if you could take a larger scale pic i'd look up the service box.

3. take the doorcard out and a plate slid across the lock, then it just pops outside (search on here or Haynes manual about taking door card and innards out)

4. Function by ECU should take you to ABS ECU, but there might be more places to check, never attempted this myself Smile

1 - No Idea. Might help if we knew a rough location of the ticking.
When it stops ticking and goes BOOOOOM then start to panic.

2 - Looks like the comm unit. Don't think the parts are user serviceable in those, so will require a complete new unit unless you can scavenge one from a scrappy and get the parts you need

3 - You don't need to remove the door card to get the locks out. Access is via the black grommet in the door frame. You can order locks for your current key from the dealer although the cheaper option might be to get all the locks with a key from a scrapyard and then swap your remote circuit board and immo chip into the new key.

4 - It's a safety system. Find out what the fault is and repair it. Split rings are common, Might even be a free fix if it's just a bit of muck or grease causing the problem.
How would disabling the ECU affect the dash light at MOT time?

Update:
Ticking Sound is only on first turning ON when climate is OFF. If I turn car again it will not tick. If I wait let say 10min and turn car it will tick.

1. Cold start - climate is ON. everything OK. (one beep is abs warning):

3. Solved
I take one lock, less damaged - out. Cleaned and tut it to soak in oil for 30 min, and cleaned from oil. Working OK.
Maybe better option is to use hydrophobic oil, but I had with me only car oil.
As you sad it's very easy to access it.

Some thoughts...

As far as I understand it, the electronics go into a deeper 'sleep' state after a few minutes off (see battery change procedure waiting time), and that means the BSI etc starts from different states on a quick restart vs after a long time off.

The ticking to me sounds like a flap in the ventilation system (controls the air to take the right routes. Given the relation it has to AC, maybe a flap controlling air to go through the AC cooling?

Maybe an flap actuator or sensor? Maybe retrying the movement if the sensor doesn't tell the BSI or AC control that the flap has properly moved? (or at least so the BSI/AC control thinks...) No real clue as to how that subsystem works though.

Tried a BSI reset? - appears to be 1st thing to apply in the chase of electrical gremlins in the 206

BSI reseted - same symptoms.

btw:
I did partially fixed other door cylinder - just for fun.
 


There was one part that was deformed so it has to go off, and one pin that was stuck - fixed. Also lilttle door for key can't be mounted but ok, it was already destroyed.

About cylinder, I couldn't understand is it possible/how to re-pin it like - house cylinder?

If I'm correct there is no way to buy it separately? Only complete stick?
