Have recently had a couple of occasions when the airbag light stays on after starting the car. Goes out again after stopping the engine and restarting it. I hear a lot about connectors being a likely cause. On looking under both driver and passenger seats, there are no connectors though. Does anybody know where else they might be so I can clean them up?

Is the light constantly on or flashing?

My one's flashing whenever someone sits on at the front passenger seat. Enough if I switch the ignition off and on while driving (even keeping foot on the accelerator pedal Very Happy ) then the light stops flashing.

I believe there should be some wires there under the seats, with smart connectors so that when you disconnect them, airbags don't trigger (good thing to try is also to switch off airbag on passenger side with the key - see to the right under from the ignition key slot)

Looked under both seats and no connectors under either one unless they have been buried in the foam. Light stays on solid but like I say it goes out after restarting the engine. I have cycled the passenger airbag switch back and forward a few times to make sure the contacts inside get a bit of a clean. Short of getting a diagnostic code that's about all I can think of as far a simple quick fixes. Are there any other places that the connectors could be?

To the best of my knowledge my car only has steering wheel and passenger dash airbags and no side or seat bags if this helps with connector positions.

Everything else is fine. Not had the airbag light for a few days now so fingers crossed it won't come back. Just seemed a bit odd. Was hoping someone might know where connections are located for cars like my 3 door with just steering wheel and passenger dash airbags as there is nothing under the seats.

You wont have any wires in the seats if they dont have airbags in them and you wont have sill satelites either so like you say just the 2 dash bags, but a faulty speedo sensor or wiring can make the airbag light come on, as can a dying battery that goes flat quickly.

Ok. No issues with battery or dash panel, so I guess there is nothing else to try. Hopefully it doesn't come back. If it does I guess I'll have to get it looked at.
