I am fairly sure I got earth strap problems and after reading some posts on here this appears common. But the threads appear to stop at "replace the earth strap" without any mention they are nearly £100 from Peugeot Shocked Shocked

This is insane. Is there anywhere else to get these from or is it just a case of having to stump up the cash?

Cheers! Smile

I used a earth strap from my old amp, was a thick piece of insulated wire. That got mt to Halfords where i think i bought one for around £15.

They used to be a lot cheaper then that.

206 has been superceded twice by newer models so some parts are no longer made / available / bloody expensive as there in short supply now.

One of the issues running a car that is no longer in production.

I'd just make one up at work out of heavy duty forklift battery cable & lugs if I required one.

Thanks for the suggestions! Someone may have a spare lying around which would be awesome if he has. If not I'll have to try and DIY something together, possibly using the Halfords bits that are available...

Cheers mate.... I already sorted it, in the end I (luckily) found a genuine Peugeot one on eBay but for a different version of the 206.

It had the same thickness and 3 points (battery terminal, gearbox and body) but the wires were longer than the one from my car plus the part numbers were different. That said, with some clever routing, it now fits perfectly fine and job done Smile

Thanks for the help all & I think anyone who has this problem in the future is best asking on here (it seems a few of you have them lying around which is great) or keeping an eye on eBay...
