Hi there
Has anyone got any tips on how to stop the sliders/retaining pins on the rear calipers rattling?
If I try and move them they move forwards and backwards fairly easily but the pads are fixed well in position.
Incase I have got the term wrong its the metal bit that goes under the brake pads holding them in position.
Any ideas?
Cheers!

Have you got little pins holding them in?

Thanks for your reply. Yeah the pins are in. On further inspection the pads actually move up and down a tiny bit when the brakes are off

The pads should be quite a snug fit. My little wedges need to be lightly tapped into place as there is no free play between pad and wedge.

Thanks for the message again Edward.
I have figured the problem out there are no anti rattle clips on the rear pads, so I have some coming tomorrow.
The point at which the pad rattles is exactly where the clip goes over the top so it should be gone after they are fitted!

You talking about the big paper clip type clips? I didn't think they actually did much.

Yep the big clips. Its weird because my old pads didn't rattle without them, but I can see if there was a clip on top it would stop these ones moving completely. Fingers crossed!
