So, today I have made a start on getting the 206 patched up!

Following the trusty Haynes things were going really well, until I had to remove the handbrake cable. I've unclipped the cables from within the centre console and gone under the car to find them. I've removed the heat shield that partially covers the fuel tank, and was expecting to see my cables clipped in as the diagrams show. But I couldn't see them.

I'm presuming this is because instead of looking for a black cable, what I really need to unclip are the stiffened green ones that appear from behind the fuel tank? (Presumably they are outer casings to protect the cable itself?)

Nope. The answer is in fact the cables running from behind the heat shield across the fuel tank. Sussed that out today.
