If you are using the Omex you don't need the pressure sensor in the PAS pipe. Why not fit a Saxo pump? Or is that the plan?

The engine is now in on Vibratechnics top engine mount, but the hole on gearbox one is too small for the prong on the gearbox to fit through; for the time being it is just sat on the standard one.
Also the top mount bracket is from the wrong car and it's curvature is causing the engine to sit wonky, so I've ordered a 406 XU bracket as we cross referenced it to a picture of Racerxbon's old 206 GTi-6.
Another issue may be the exhaust manifold fouling the bulkhead. The engine has been fitted without it, as it was pointless finding out until the mounting issues are sorted.

A replacement top engine mount bracket has been identified as one from the Xsara VTS, and has been purchased from eBay. Just needs some Deox-c treatment and a coat of Hammerite.
Rather than send the Vibratechnics gearbox mount back just yet, it's probably worth seeing if the 'prong' on the gearbox can be swapped for one from a BE 206, or even my old MA gearbox. This BE1 gearbox on the engine is from a 205 hence the slight difference and small stumbling block.
Also, today I have picked up my custom fabricated radiator from City Radiator Services in Bilston. I left them with the original radiator and they made a replica with a 40mm thick core (standard was 19mm) and an "S type" water passage arrangement meaning that the air passing through the veins will reach the water passages more efficiently. Rather than fit a GTi180 radiator, I was keen to retain the original compact dimensions as it sits to the right of the engine bay; in theory keeping heat away from the throttle bodies, and leaving space on the left hand side for some kind of cold air intake from the grille.
There are multiple tasks that need sorting next:
Send GTi180 subframe off to be shot blasted and powder coated
New wishbones
Polybushes
Order 306 hydraulic power steering pump and have lines made up to match up to the steering rack
Obtain GTi wheel hubs and driveshaft set up

It has reprofiled cams and is pretty much standard apart from that. I need the last owner to find out the sheet of the exact cam profile data, but it's moderate - not too lairy
Having said that a lot if money was spent on it with all new gaskets etc

A bit more progress today in fitting the new engine mount bracket, stripped down the GTi subframe and other bits to go to the powdercoaters, and of course a gratuitous interior shot with the nice new carpet mats.
Waiting for delivery of Mi16 upgraded clutch plate and cover. The lightened flywheel in the picture has the timing teeth machined away so I am getting a standard one and then having that lightened and balanced. Next purchase will be some driveshafts so that the subframe and transmission can all be sorted back onto the car at the same time.

I'd weigh that flywheel. Don't know what the Gti-6 flywheel weighs but standard 138 gti flywheel weighs 6.6kg. My TTV flywheel weighs 4.4kg and the difference isn't hugely noticeable.
So if that lightened flywheel isn't much lighter than 6.6kg I would waste money getting one lightened.
Those teeth for the crank sensor look ok.
What gearbox are you using?

Hi Teddy/Edward/Paul (what can I call you?) haha. I read the first 40 pages of your thread the other day and there are certainly many lessons I have learned from it! Having a proper loom made for when I get the Omex 710 being the main one.
I turned the lightened one away in favour of a standard Mi16 one with the timing teeth. The Pug1off Mi16 lightened flywheel weighs 3.9kg, we know someone that could take a bit off this standard one, but are you implying it's not worth it?
I guess you could call my car FrankenPeugeot. 206 with a 306 engine, 405 clutch and flywheel, and a 205 BE1 gearbox! Tops out at 125mph apparantly

Well mine is 2/3rds the weight of the original...if you sit there revving the engine you might notice a difference. I'm sure there is a difference but it hardly shoots up the rev range like a motorbike or Ferrari... it's OK but I wouldn't go out of your way to add anything lighter. It's just very subtle.

Thanks. For what it has cost I think I will still go for a lighten and balance. What clutch do you use?

any plans for upping the power? internal head work ect? these are proven engine with great tunabiliy, pug1off do tuning packages at stages on these they've been using them for so long with years of experience. If i could go back I would of had one fitted as I would be at around 250bhp with what I've put into the 138 to be at circa 220. I did mine work as a 21st birthday present to my self I'm nearly 29 at the time I was at a budget so couldn't afford the extra expense at the time. but more than happy how my project has gone.
would be good to meet up when your sorted.

The plan is to get it running as it is, the beauty of map-able management is that down the line I can modify and adjust once more. I will for certain end up forging and doing head work, but I want to make the baby steps of getting it to work reliably - and then start sprinting down the line! Of course we should have a meet, I see you are in the West Midlands too, you should come along to the mapping session when it happens
Also, Maniflow have said if I buy their 306 GTi manifold I can test fit it, if it fouls the bulkhead they will give a refund on return which is cool
Edit: transmission stuff arrived today, the total weight of the clutch, cover, standard flyhweel and bearing is 12.2kg

Subframe, front anti-roll bar and rocker covers now back from refurbishment. Next up will be some Group A wishbones, and some GTi driveshafts before it all gets fitted. Then it will be time to start saving for Maniflow exhaust headers. Baby steps, but I hope to have the car on the road by the summer.

You might already plan to do this but fit the wishbones to the subframe before it gets fitted to the car.
