just been under the rear of the car the chassis looks in good condition but I will need a new axle the rust on the arms is pretty bad so I'll be on the look out for a 180 axle.

I'd be cautious before buying another axle. It might be worth stripping yours apart and checking the condition of the bearings. You can always rub down the existing axle or shot blast things to clean them up and repaint it.

Don't forget to fit a 180 axle you need the exhaust modifying.

GTI-6 wheels? You not fancy some Nimrods? Will make the car look like a later model too.

I do have a set of nimrods mate but they need a refurb and decent rubbers are more expensive for 16s. the cylones have nealy new toyo proxs t1r (not my choice in tyres) and have had a fresh powdercoat so was a steal at £100.

Nimrods are the best looking alloys but one of the heaviest and you can really tell once swapping to a lighter wheel. Just from experience.

Been a while since I've been on here! not much as moved on the 206 front but I decided to sell me 308 GT as our 2nd son was born last month and it was just too small. I now have a 67plate 3008 and all I can say is WOW! what a motor.
I did want it ready for the winter so I could put some bad ass tyres on it and use it in the 'bad snow' and go out for a play in the bad weather we are expecting again, But the new edition and xmas fast approaching has out a stop to this lol

list of things for 2019 are
cage fitted
gear box recon with my CWP and diff fitted
MOT

pics of CC bumpers will follow. I have since fitted the side strips but haven't got a photo of them.

I loved my 308 GT and I didn't want to sell it BUT it was impractical with 2 yong kids with all the 'equipment' you need there just wasn't enough room. The 3008 is a totally different league, feels more exsecative and grown up. It has so many gadgets and tech to play with and feels safer.

This is why I keep my 206 as its soooo far away from the luxuary and comfort and alot of fun to drive.

**UPDATE**

So, I MOT'd the pug to find that I had some issues with my exhaust system, my joining brackets were all rusty and had snapped off and my back box was hanging down due to a corroded hanger.

I found a local SS exhaust specialist who sorted all that out no worries...…. until the test drive....

I can only 'assume' that because we had taken all the excess movement out the exhaust system and me not fitting my uprated engine mounts (silly me) this put stress on the manifold and as a result snapped the branches off.

any ways got a new one so it’s on the list of t9hings to do now. here's some updated pics of the new wheels and CC bumpers fitted. Not too bad for sitting around for 3 years.....enjoy

Car looking great! (bar the zorst:)
Read through your build thread over the past months, was a good read indeed.

Have you ever driven the car with your electric PAS pump with it being switched off? I once did (unintentionally), and the fluid in the reservoir started to surge and pour out making a mess Smile
