Hi guys. After changing the paper oil filter on my 206 cc 1.6 16valve, I am experiencing a leak from the threaded section of the 'container'. I have fitted a new 'o' ring. Are there any of you who have come across the same problem? Suggestions welcome. Thanks, Michael.

Yes many times.
The hazards of working in a garage lol
On the whole it's usually just the rubber got 'pinched' as it's screwed down.
Replace rubber band smear with petroleum jelly/vaseline and refit.
Sometimes however, people overtighten that plastic cap...(the max torque is 25 n/m! which is just a little more than finger tight for a rough guide) If that's the case, check plastic cap for splits/cracks, if found, purchase replacement and refit.

Huey and others viewing. Thanks for you informative reply. I'll have another try in fitting the 'o' ring with a smear of vasaline. Sounds logical now. Will send another message with the outcome. Thanks again, Michael.
