Hello

Newbie here.

I've been through lots of posts about testing the O2 sensor (which I am doing as I have the usual cold idle speed issues) but I can't find the solution.

It seems that the 2 leads to the O2 sensor heating element that supply the power are only sending 2.1 volts. Obviously the heater won't work and the O2 sensor will give incorrect readings until it heats up with exhaust gasses. Which could explain my idle problem.

Does that mean the ECU is not sending the correct voltage?

Is that an ECU problem? or something else. Maybe the ECU has stopped the voltage as it detects a fault?

The heater circuit on the O2 sensor is reading 4.2 ohms. what should it read?

Greetings

It's on a V reg 206 with 1.4 engine

Got a scanner but it won't read codes from my Feb 2000 206.

Scanner works on my other car (Volvo V70 from 2002)

Looks like a trip to the garage to read the codes.

You really need PP2000 (planet peugeot) or a PSA specific scanner for a 206 that old. It's not going to have a standard diagnostic system.
Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.
