I'm now the happy owner of a 30k miles 2003, 3 door 206 1.4 
Much more enjoyable than my first car which was a 1.1 lol
After driving the car for a day i noticed the driver side front brake making noise as the wheel rotates. A noise which is hard to explain, but sounds like a squeak/chirp i guess? Stops when the brake pedal is applied (even lightly)
Anyway i changed the pads and discs as they were scored. Cleaned up the pistons both sides and ensured they weren't seized, slide pins seem fine both sides but i cleaned and greased anyway.
However i'm still getting this noise!!
Going to check each brake to ensure they're not binding tomorrow.
I've also noticed when braking very lightly at under 10mph there is a strange graunching noise coming from the driver side brake (as far as i can tell)
The brake pedal also has some pulsation when applied lighty, but stops if i brake hard.
Brake lights aren't stuck on.
Does anybody have any advice on what i should check next please?

After checking both front wheels this morning, it was clear the drivers side slide pins could have moved more freely.
Cleaned down the side pins (white grease was on them which was very very thick, so i removed and used copper grease)
The brakes seem firmer, the pedal pulsing has stopped and so has the graunching noise.
I still have a squeak coming from the driver side wheel though. Got a feeling its CV joint/drive shaft as it clicks a little when turned by hand?
Passenger fine feels and sounds smooth.

Hi - the white Silicone grease doesn't dry out and is what should be used in those pins.

Pretty odd, it seemed to be causing a lot of drag. I'll be sure to keep an eye on them anyhow.

Driver side still binding, it appears the caliper is not releasing properly on that one side. I'll attempt a bleed tomorrow and give the slider a really good clean up, hopefully this will help, else im guessing i'll be looking for a better caliper.

Could be the brake flexi pipe collapsing internally preventing the fluid returning back to the master cylinder.
Try pressing the caliper piston fully back with the bleed nipple open & see if matters improve.

Thanks for the tips guys, i went to the scrapyard this morning as the dust seal on my piston had gone a bit wonky xD
Got another caliper for £3 
Turns out after a bit of measuring with the verniers, the new discs are shot (warped)
I've stuck the old ones back on for now as they're not in that bad condition really.
Will collect some new discs from a better supplier soon and let you know how i get on.
