Have you had the BSI unit out & checked for any wetness / water ingress?

Not yet, no. Am I right in thinking the BSI is basically the fuse box in the cabin?

Awesome. I'll disconnect the battery (correctly) and whip it out when the weather is better.

Closing this one now, not that I've 100% gotten to the bottom of what was causing the short yet.

But the ABS/ESP/ASR issue was exactly what it said it was.
