Hi folks im new to the 206, but have had a few 106's and a couple of 205's Stil have one of the 5's.
So the other day i was looking for a car with a few months test to see me through till i get my 205 back on the road. I found a 206 sw one owner from new with 33000 miles on it and moted till late oct. That the good bits now for the bad the rear beam is sizied solid ( was a bumpy ride home) and a few other bits and bobs, asking price £140. I asked a few questions asked if he would take £100 if i came for it the next day, the offer was exceped and i now how a 206 up on axle stands outside my house. I've watched several you tube vids and have messed about for two days trying to get 15 year old bolts undone. Its got to the point now where i thought sod it drop the beam it will be easier in the long run. Iv rebuild 2x 205 rear beams in the past and i know they can be a pain but how the hell are you meant to get the E16 bolt out ? the four that hold the beam on. I cleaned the heads up as best i could then got the E16 socket and breaker bar but just cant shift them. Any ideas folks?

Careful application of heat / a decent penetrating fluid should help.

I used a chisel to remove some. Mine weren't seized though. They'd been put in with copper grease on them. Just the heads were rounded. Chisel was sharp enough to cut into the head to turn it.
2001 GTi 138, Bilstein Sprint dampers, H&R springs, 21mm Peugeot Sport torsion bars, 22mm rear ARB, Peugeot Sport Group A wishbones, 283mm discs, Goodridge stainless hoses, Maniflow 304 grade 4-2-1 2.5" manifold and system, 200 cell cat, Richard Longman head, 45mm Jenvey throttle bodies, 9.5mm TB spacers, 90mm air horns, Jenvey throttle linkage, Jenvey fuel rail, Aeromotive and Goodridge fuel fittings and braided hose, ITG sausage filter, Radtec custom radiator, Piper Ultimate Road cams, Piper vernier pulleys, Omex 600 ECU. Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

I did think about just cutting the heads off but then how wouold i extract the headless bolt? Iv used the chisel techneque before but with such small heads on the bolts i was worried they would just sear off leaving me with the same promlem.
As for heat i thought of this too but one bolt it pretty close to the fuel filler neak amd the chances of burning the bushes kind of puts me off too,as id not planed on replacing them.
Thanks for the ideas guys im sure il end up using one if not all of them.
Are new bolt available do you know?

Part number 5153 26 Crossmember screw £3.36 each including VAT.

Double check the part number is correct for your car's VIN with a Peugeot main dealer parts dept!

The bolts are still listed as available, ask your local Peugeot / Citroen main dealer parts dept.

The bolt is listed as M12 x 1.50 & 115mm long.

Thanks for the advice guys, I've now got the two rear bolts undone but the front two are just not playing ball.
I'm very close to cutting the heads off the remaining two bolts ( good to know there still available, thanks Mr BSI )
but im worried that il just end up with the problem of getting the bolt shaft out. I have a set of stud extractors do you think they would work?

When mine were seized, and I couldn't shift them for love nor money, I gave them a last good soaking with penetration spray and left them overnight. Put a massive effort in using a breaker bar, only to smack myself with it as they undid as if they'd never been tightened up.

(And that was with bolts having never been touched in 17 years)

(The same couldn't be said of a rear wiper bolt however, that I never did get shifted!)

I think the heads are too buggered now to do much with. I think il give it one last try the morn and if not im cutting the buggers!

Victory was mine!
So this morn I spent about another hour or so buggering about trying the get the last two bolts out, then got p**sed off and out came the grinder.
Lowered the beam with the jack pulled it from under the car and carried it in to the garden to try to strip it. Striped everything off the beam bar the trailing arms and tortion bars. I gave the trailing arms a couple of good whacks with the lump hammer and they didnt move a mm. Didnt really expect them to since they are seized but thought it was worth a try. Tomorrow il get a new blow torch and get some heat involved.
So i tidied up for the day and then went to look at the now headless bolts still atached to the car. I was laying there thinking how i was going to do it, when i reached up and grabed one and gave it a bit of a wiggle and it only bloody moved, and then screwed all the way out by hand, same on the other side, could not belive my luck.
I can only imagine that the heat and vibration from the grinder loosened them.
So any tips on how to get the seized trailing arms off?

I put my axle on its end for a few days and put plus gas on the bar ends. Put the screws back in and bash those rather than the bar ends.
