Hi, my 206 is throwing all kinds of warning lights and sometimes it starts and sometimes it wont as if its a flat battery.

It has a newish battery and the alternator is working good.

Been told it could be a simple earth problem but not sure.

Cheers Pete.

Check the earth cable from the - post to tge gearbox and engine block.

Also make sure the cr@ppy quick-release battery terminal is tight and if you have the right height battery. It the terminals press on the battery box it is too short.

Has it been left to discharge at all?

I had one that was fine at starting when cold but once warmed up was just like it had been left overnight with the lights on ... when it cooled off a bit it was fine again.

Hi, yes it was left for 2 weeks while on holiday but it was playing up before we went on holiday. When we got home i had to jump start it after about half a mile i lost throttle , turned it of then when restarting the rev counter went out of line.

Cheers , Pete.

Sounds like the battery has had it .. should be on at least a three year warranty ..

If it went flat after two weeks and is only 18 months old, it isn't right .. even a three year battery should last longer than that if treated properly. I've had them last 8 to 9 years.
