Hiya, a friend of mine has the above and needs a new bsi.
When you put the ignition on, the wipers and headlights come on on their own, none of the interior electronics work and the dashboard lights
Up like a Christmas tree and it won’t start, turns over but won’t start.

Anyway I’m aware when replacing the bsi with a secondhand unit you need the ecu , keys barrel etc but I wanted to know if the replacement parts had to have the exact same part numbers as the original.

For example the current bsi is a e01-00, would I be able
To replace that with a E02-00 so long as i get the ecu keys etc to go with it or does the replacement also have to be e01-00 regardless?

Thanks
Bradley

Sounds like it could be a Comm2000 issue. Have you used pp2000 to try and read the car?
