dear fellow members.
I bought a 206 1.6 xs 2002, the car is very neat inside and out.
Now only the head gasket of the car is broken, now I can have it repaired by a mechanic, or install another engine block.
Now I can buy a 2.0 GTI engine that runs well
Now my question is, does anyone have experience with this? What do I need for the swap beside the engine block and ECU?

1.6 XS was a TU engine.
The 2 litre GTI was an EW engine.
Gearbox & subframe are different for a start.
I'd just get the head gasket replaced on your original 1.6 engine as it will be the cheaper & less down time option.

good evening thanks for the response.
I gave the mechanic the green light to overhaul my 1.6 engine block and get a few extra horsepower
