been outside working since 7 this morn and did a fair few mods to my girlfriends clio

heres a few before pics it was already lowered and halos on a few weeks ago but just a good pic to show the wings bonnet as they were Laughing

today i did the following:
took off the williams bonnet and sprayed that the right colour
sprayed the bonnet badge gloss black
sprayed and fitted a smooth phase 2 grille
removed the scuttle panel and wipers and painted gloss black
painted up a pair of williams flared wings and fitted them
fitted smoked side repeaters to match the headlights
wired up the sub
removed the rattling heatshield
gave it a huge clean Smile

i know the paint match isnt perfect but considering the original paint is quite faded and i sprayed the bonnet and wings by hand with spray cans i dont think its bad Smile

i dont think it looks bad considering the car only cost £40 as a bog standard mot failure i got through work and all the mods have been e-bay baragains or birthday/xmas/valentines presents from me haha

If that was original Williams bonnet, wings & colour, you should have sold it, must be worth a bit.

Rolling Eyes

no its not perfect but its pretty damn good considering the rest of the paint is pretty poor as the cars nearly 20 years old and the other half is only an apprentice chef so cant afford hundreds of pounds to pay a bodyshop to do

Nearly every bodyshop in the world (unless there epic prep work to be done, dent removal, filler fibre glassing ect) should be able to prep and spray in a day.

You should never go more then two hours after spraying the base to spraying the laqure, however im going to presume that this was 2K paint so there was no need to laqure anyway.

The only thing that takes more then a day is you should leave paint for 12 hours before flatting back, however if you us UV heaters you should be able to get this down to about 4 hours.

Your welcome Matt, feel free to pop me a PM whilst your doing that for any more tips.

Remeber if its just a panel your respraying, dont bother priming it, scotch the surface up (scotch pad like what your parents will use in the kitchen). Rattle cans are only about 15% paint to put on a couple of coats within 15 mins of each other.
