A euro van ftw. get the windows welded up Sell your van and get some profit from it. There are LOADS of TU engines lying around that will slot in there if it was completely fubared. I bet it's something simple too, or fingers crossed anyway |
yeah fingers crosse its simple got the timing covers off already gonna charge the battery and plug in the diagnostic kit and go from there
yeah was thinkin bout blanking out the back windows and keeping it then sell my van might have to make it manual if i do that tho auto 1.4's suck

yeah well im quite lucky like that as i work at a garage we quite often get cars that arnt financially viable to repair from the customers point of view so i give them £50 for it and spend a few weekends sorting them then that either get sold or nabbed by various family members haha

YUP So chucking in a whole working engine in with manual gearbox attached might work out to be pretty cost effective?

I saw Ross had commented and could predict his suggestions for this car impressively accurately |
Haha, to be fair though, without spending a pretty penny on getting it into mint condition (and why bother on a low spec 1.4 auto?), then my suggestion would give it the most visual impact, it's all about making it look cool without making it look pristine. I guess what I'm basically suggesting is rat look! At £50 it's virtually disposable so you may aswell have a bit of fun with it

Indeed i do... thing is though with a main dealer you rarely get cars like that in, its more new stuff, working on vans all the time i never really get the chance of a cheeky bargain unless its a clapped out transit van
and with regard to the welding your not wrong there haha!

No definitely mate, I'm all for it, and you're right on the money, it just amused me that I could accurately predict your response....generally either rat or preferably euro
