Hello,
sorry for bad english
I'm heyziq, and already been a 206info member for quite sometime but never had change to make my project thread. By the way and I’m a Peugeot 206 gti 5 door owner from Malaysia . I bought a stock Peugeot 206 1.4 8v 2009 model,in Malaysia its not really famous until a company rebadge the car and becoming NAZA BESTARI

how it looks when new Smile

if you all wonder what so special with NAZA BESTARI 206, they came out with few variants such as sport model and premium model, however its still 1.4 8v

here some of the picture

so then i'm a happy user of 1.4 8v auto until my engine was blown on 2011, because of water suck into air intake. anywhere is few 2.0 gti and 1.6 16v in here and i always hoping i could get a chance to drive the gti 180 model, but that is impossible to get here

so then i continue to swap engine from 1.6 16v

after conversion Very Happy

however i can only use this setup for 3 days, why? again the engine got problem, smoke coming out from the engine, oil is everywhere and something wrong with the auto gearbox
even after 3 days swap i couldn't start the car. (got cheated by mechanic here)

:(, if you guys want to know they took 3 months to settle my car up and i able to use it for 3 days, plus they are are peugeot dealer sucks!

so what next?

Well you got a nice car there, but why you drove inside water and have your engine blown in the first place??,and when you bought the new engine, why you didn't ask what model it's,mileage and so,besides, the auto gearbox of 1.4 is diff. than the one in 1.6,so that is why you got a problem, when you do a conversion, you need to do a complete one

Engine+Gearbox+CV joints (complete)+Engine ECU+BSI+Ignition (key),then you will call this a complete conversion

actually i don't drive on water, somehow there is leak in air intake which is under the fender? or underneath, its not me alone came out with this problem. Yes mate i did complete conversion,i took a complete donor car from 1.6 16v multiplex japan SW spec anyway i already swap into another 206 gti engine now, more picture will come soon.

hence after the 1.6 16v conversion failed, as i was lazy to find each problem, and spent too much money fix the gearbox, engine dead and so on.. i went and bough another donor car this time 206 2.0 from cabriolet body, i try to find a multipex body toe, but its quite rare to find so i bought a non mux (preplex)

here Tim, complete conversion

well well, i copy the whole wiring, too bad we are not like in your country which 206 had go quite cheap. In here still expensive and there is less than 20 GTI known. In the end of the day buying 1.4 8v + swap 2.0 much cheaper and efficient cost compare i buy 2.0 gti directly
