I'm trying to decode the service history (lol that's being kind) that the previous owner gave me. I've got a garage receipt saying "belt work" attached to a parts receipt listing tensioners and a "gates micro-V belt (68392xs)". Is this a timing belt? If not what is it?

Gates Micro V AT Belts outperform other V ribbed belts because they are truncated(shorter). This shorter profile gives the new Micro V AT Belts increased flexibility, reduced heat buildup and allows them to operate at extra high speeds on smaller diameter sheaves.
Specially designed to replace original equipment serpentine belts.
Two more advantages of the truncated are:
The belt does not bottom in the sheave
The belt can better tolerate debris in the sheave groove. They are extremely smooth running and highly resistant to oil, heat and other adverse conditions.
Exclusive Gates truncated belt design offers up to 80% higher horsepower capacity than Rubber Manufacturer’s Association standards.
Increased flexibility and reduced heat buildup permit extra high speeds on smaller diameter sheaves.
Highly resistant to oil, heat and other adverse conditions.
Less sensitive to debris in sheave groove.
Meets or exceeds Rubber Manufacturer’s Association standards for static conductivity.
Energy efficient.
Runs cooler than conventional belts.
High power density.
unsure if this helps you at all? by the sounds of it and going from there web site it is a timing belt

I probably could do it myself with my Haynes manual but some things I leave to the 'pros' for reasons stated above.

Ok so it's not the timing belt. Roughly how much will it cost to have a garage do it? I'm not mechanicaly minded at all so wouldn't attempt it.
