does anybody know how much it is for a replacement key for my gt, lost one and could do with 2. do i have to get it from pug?

yeh its about £150 as you need to get the key, the imobilser cuip bit in the key , get the key cut and programed by pug, it aint cheap

sorry to thread jack but can the key itself just be cut by a normal place that cuts keys?

I have a flip key you see and i havn't got it cut yet. But I will be taking the transponder out of the old key

Yes you can get a key cut and programmed. If you have he pin code that comes with your manual then you can have it cut onto a standard key and if yoy get a used key with a working remote function you can get a new shell cut so you can fit the remote into a new shell and it will be exacly the same as the original. If you dont have the code you can copy the chip onto a ehp head and cut a blade to suit this will open and start the car but wont be remote control. We do them for £55
