Just curious, on car startup, on the electronic display on speedos, what does the thing mean, with all of the boxes, "|=||=||=||=|" <<< not quite like that but an idea, as i didnt know how to describe lol!

IIRC it indicates the level of oil in the car.
But people will tell you that you shouldn't rely on it and should always do a manual check.

If its anything like mine it will tell you its empty, half full or full, even when level is spot on. Now I know that I ignore it, but first time it gave me a shock as it was day after an oil change and I thought I'd got a major leak somewhere!

well it's for oil level,and it's not very accurate,because sometimes you stop the car in a non-standard ground,and that makes the reading not accurate,but if the ground is standard,then i guess you can count on it,I do count on it,it sometimes blinking if the level is not good,and sometimes u see some of the the squares are missing,and that means your oil level is down.

you oil is either too full.
or the oil sensor is f****d
