been on here a little while now and the cars starting to take shape abit so thought id make a little thread,
basically looking to buy a house some time in the next couple years with the missus so she had a little 106 1.1 and i had a bmw 320td compact, thought the best thing to do was sell these and put the money in to a car to share, and the change in to savings for the house,

looked about abit and she wanted a 206 or a audi a3, looked in to it and mother has a 207 hdi 1.6 which is "95 a year tax so thought that was the way to go, looked at a couple and found a nice little 206 hdi gti- sporty looks with cheap tax, insure, fuel etc. bought it then the fun began

1st thoughts were wheels are gunna have to go along with the lexus lights asap
but polished it up a tad first to see what i had to work with

all was well went through the service history and saw it was due a service and a cambelt soon so cracked on with that

and gave the engine bay bit of a clean up same time

before

after

after a couple weeks i had "insufficent oil pressure" message on the dash and the engine was sounding majorly tappy so found a genuine oil pump for £170 so put that in and cleaned up the bottom of the engine, small amount of carbon in the crevises

turned out the relief valve was sticking because after a light rev it would go back to normal

since then everything has been well and the modifications have started Very Happy

out with the bk halford specials, in with some 17" kei force 10s

then to get rid of those awfull lexus lights, was after some m3 style led lights with the clear strip but found these at £40 so had to have them
and at the same time some fk street coilovers popped up on here so had them aswell

fitted some new wishbones and drop links same time

also fitted a laguna front splitter Smile

took a couple grubby pics over christmas

then we went away last weekend so the weekend before i thought it would be nice to sound deaden the front doors a little to try to reduce the tin can sound

thats kinda how it stands at the moment, next is to decide on someone to remove the dpf or whether i remove the hardware and get celtic tuning to do the remap and software.
then it will be looking in to clutch options then it should be a fairly reliable car with cheap tax, performance

cheers for reading

cheers spike, yeah really pleased with the height its sitting at.. doesnt catch on speed humps which is good but still have to be careful because the shocks make a really harsh bang when you hit a pot hole let alone a road hump:(
