Can someone tell me the part no. for front ABS sensor on a 2.0 litre GTi 138.... want to cross reference it to this one. #4545.79 Thanks guys

Looking at the number you sent, scrap the above I think thats for the later models I've found this one which seems more like the one you posted.. 4545.76

Thanks mate.... thats my problem... on the box it ends in 9 not 7. Was wondering which was wrong, the box or the service box

Ahh right errrrm lol I don't know mate, I found this though.. 4545.76 = ABR SENSOR AV - WITH ABS BRAKES 4545.77 = ABR SENSOR AV - WITH ABS BRAKES UNTIL RPO No. 07996 4545.79 = ABR SENSOR AV - WITH ABS BRAKES SINCE RPO No. 07997 If thats any help?

The only answer would be to put my reg in service box and check front ABS sensor part number and compare it. Can you do that?

Noper, you can use your VIN number though =] or goto a pug dealer and they'll do it via the reg number and tell you which one is it you should have - There good guys if you talk to them - they always seem to want to help me when I'm there lol

The RPO number is the build code. 7996 is a very early build code, basically any car built after '98

I've had a loook at the various branded ABS sensors for the 206 and they all give the OE part number of 4545 79, so I'd hazard a guess that the majority are the same.
