What do people recommend without breaking the bank?

Never heard of them. Had a quick browse on google, and people have said the same on the mg forum, fiat and landrover.

Stick to establish branded discs and pads

Pads go for Ferodo Premier, you can pick them up from places like halfords.

Discs, brembo easy check, mintex, black diamond or there's always ebc
